Log-In Support

User Name

Your user name is a combination of your first and last name. The first letter of each is capitalized, and there are no spaces.

For example, investigator John Doe's user name would be JohnDoe

Passwords

User accounts are initially set up with a generic password, which should be emailed to you upon account creation.  If you did not receive this information, or have forgotten your password, click on the 'Forgot Your Password' link located here or at the bottom of the log-in section on the lower left side of the home page. You will need to enter the email address associated with your account and you will receive a confirmation email with information on how to reset your password.

If you have changed email addresses, or simply do not recall which email is associated with your account, please contact an administrator.

Membership Directory Support

The AALPI directory of members is found by clicking on the 'Member Directory' link under the Resources menu. Also, visitors can search this directory using the 'Find an Investigator' link at the top of the site. Visitors can search for members by keyword or by entering one or more of the following items: County, City, State, Zip Code or Case Type.

To be listed in this directory, you will need to click either link to bring you to the directory, then click on the link that says 'Add Entry'. This link is located directly beneath the letters of the alphabet. The links provided in this support article also work.

User Profile Support

Users are encouraged to create a user profile for the site. In order to create a profile, you must first be logged in. After logging in, the middle portion of the website will contain the member forum. At the top of this forum section, there are two links that say 'My Profile'. Click on one of these links to begin the process of creating your profile.
